Posts & Telecommunications Press (hereinafter referred to as PTPress), established on 1st October, 1953, is a large-scale specialized publishing house under the management of the Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China(PRC), persisting in the publishing tenet of "based on information industry, oriented to modern society, spreading scientific knowledge, and serving national rejuvenation through science and education". Nowadays, PTPress has grown into a comprehensive science and technology publishing house integrated in books, periodicals, audio-video and electronic publications and network publishing, with its own professional characters and brand-name effect.

For over 50 years since its establishment, PTPress has accumulatively published 20,000 titles of books with the total copies of 230 million, and 23 titles of periodicals with the total copies of 600 million. At present, PTPress annually publishes 3600 titles of books in 10 categories such as communications, computers, electronic and electrical engineering technology, textbooks, economy & management, philately, motor & traffic, children, psychology and business English, and 13 titles of periodicals.
