Verizon Business introduced its Integrated Communications Package to help businesses with VoIP service manage their communications and enhance employee collaboration, mobility and productivity.
The new unified communications service ¡ª available to U.S.-based hosted IP Centrex customers ¡ª provides a hub where employees can access voice mail, control incoming and outgoing calls, manage their online presence, send text messages and synchronize contacts and calendars.
The hosted IP Centrex with Integrated Communications Package enables organizations more efficiently to support teleworkers, meet mobility requirements and unify communications, the company said.
The package includes both end-user and administrator-level graphical user interfaces, which allow users to access and manage their communications services, including office phones, e-mail, Lotus Sametime IM and voice mail.
The services can be used on a Web-based interface, or run in conjunction with a standalone desktop client and Microsoft Outlook plug-in. The Administrative Console provides a Web-based tool for near-real-time service control and management.

Verizon Business plans to combine its Integrated Communications Package with advanced audio, net and video conferencing services and contact center services in the future. The solution also may be available internationally later in the year, the company said.
