LG-Philips, the world's second largest LCD panel manufacturer, said it would move part of its LCD monitor facilities from South Korea to Guangzhou.

    LG-Philips currently owns a LCD panel and module component production line in South Korea. The company's second quarter report of this year shows that they had made up their losses and had surpluses in the period due to the stable price of LCD panels. The company also has two LCD module component factories outside of South Korea, one of which lies in Nanjing and the other in Poland. The upcoming Guangzhou factory will be the company's third factory outside South Korea.

    Such details as the investment scale, construction commencement date and construction completion date of the Guangzhou factory have not been disclosed.
