China Communications Standard Association has formally set up an environment protection standard special task team in Beijing.

    This is the second special task team that CCSA has set up since the family network special task team that was established in April this year, and it is aimed at helping speed up the drafting of a national standard. At present, 61 representatives have registered to join the team, including 45 members, six observers, one college expert and nine non-members.

    Dai Xiaohui, director of the Science and Technology Division of China's Ministry of Information Industry, has put forward some requirements for the special task team, including making national and industry standards for the environmental protection aspect of telecom products, coordinating with the nation's development of environmental protection policies and guidelines, and strengthening communication and exchange with other industries. According to local media, Dai has asked each member of the special task team to be dedicated to environmental protection causes instead of looking for short-term economic benefit.
